Simon Alexandria Oylmpus

The last remaining member of the almighty and powerful Olympus family. Forced to live in the shadows of his ancestors actions, both good and bad, he has developed a hatred for his family. He is both the protagonist and narrator of Daydreams.

Reserved in nature, he generally wants to be left alone and live his own life, free from the judgement of others. This has resulted in him living a secluded lifestyle away from others in the Olympus Manor. His caretaker and butler, Saint Germain, has tried to ensure that he lives a relatively comfortable life.

​

His fascination with the stars and fantasy settings gives him quite the dorky side. One of his favorite pastimes is searching for frogs in the marsh behind the manor with Sunny.

​

Although he lives in France and has a Greek last name, he is German.

APPEARANCE

Simon is described as being tall and lanky. He has shaggy blonde hair and grows a stubble beard over the course of the story. He has blue eyes. His right hand is branded with an open scar that extends from the middle of his palm, down his hand, and around to roughly the middle of the top of his hand.

Simon often wears collared shirts and most of his clothing has the Olympus Family Crest somewhere on it. He typically wears a belt and slacks as well.

​

Once he gets into the car accident, he has a bandage wrapped around his head and the start of a beard from being unable to shave.

​

Later in the story, he is given a haircut by Robert, which is the same hairstyle he has on the cover of the book. This makes it safe to assume this is the version of him depicted on the cover of the book.

​

Some depictions of him include golden cuffs around his wrists.

Character Traits

Simon is German and thus, German is his first language. He frequently uses "ja" or "nein" instead of "yes" or "no". Being well integrated with the diverse culture of Feid, he can speak German, English, French, and a small bit of Russian.

​

He's fascinated with the stars and spends a lot of his time researching both astronomy and astrology. He believes in horoscopes and often feels as if the stars are watching over him.

​

Simon's favorite food is cheese and he is willing to try anything cheese flavored.

​

Simon stumbles over his words in English when stressed or flustered, although this seems to go away as he ages.

Trivia

• The name Simon comes from the Hebrew word Šimʻôn, and translates to "God has heard."

• Simon's original inspiration was Seigbert from Fire Emblem Fates. They share very little in common now, however.
